Our Pastor
Reverend Shirley is a native son of Oklahoma City, born to Menta K. Shirley and Myirs R. Shirley Jr. He completed his secondary education at Capitol Hill High School. Before wholeheartedly embracing his spiritual vocation, Reverend Shirley cultivated a strong ethic of diligence and consistency through his secular work, serving for 25 dedicated years as a professional truck driver for Evergreen Enterprise.
Answering the undeniable call of the Lord upon his life, Reverend Shirley was ordained in 2010 at Bethlehem Star Baptist Church of Oklahoma City. Having been raised in the church and grounded in its teachings, he now possesses 15 years of impactful preaching experience.
Reverend Shirley is unequivocally committed to serving God's people and ensuring that he walks daily in the divine calling placed upon his life. His passion is to boldly proclaim the Good News: the miraculous birth, atoning death, and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, so that all may come to know the Savior.
Reverend Shirley's ministry is beautifully supported by his family. He has been married to his beloved wife, Tolonnie Shirley, for 14 wonderful years. Their blessed union has been fruitful, as they have been privileged to raise nine beautiful children: Sieanna, Terrence, Joel Jr., Talena, Myirs IV, Myirssa, Kenya, Jamarius, and Tiara. They currently find great joy in watching the next generation blossom through their two granddaughters, Ky'Lena (5) and Mylani (2).
